HIP HOP REPUBLICANS
This is a Republican attempt to recruit Black voters via Rightwingsparkle here
On a slightly related note, I was messing around on the computer and I noticed my son had completed a paper for psychology class re: paradigm shifts and using Jay-Z as his illustrative example, among other things how Jay-Z helped interest young urban men in last year's U.S. presidential election.
He's 17 -- last year @ home before he's off to college.
It turns out I had it backward -- it's actually an assignment describing paradigm shifts and their relevance/ effect in social sciences and his illustrative example is how the election of Obama (the first US pres to listen to hip-hop) caused a paradigm shift within hip-hop music and made it relevant again (via Jay Z, his uncontested favorite. In fact if I personally never have to listen to "Empire State" again, that would be fine). I'll ask him if I can send it to you.
The class is called "Theory of Knowledge". He hates it and I kinda can't blame him.
