I enjoyed Bruno, but I'm happy to post another perspective on what Sasha Baron Cohen has been up to from Sky news of all people. (cheers to Minty on facebook)
To my astonishment, I found myself agreeing with a lot of the goddamn Socialist paper/website's analysis of the film - he sets out to deflate fashion industry and Hollywood types, people who we hardly need to be told are vacuous and self-absorbed - and he has to work awfully hard to get some of his marks to say anything self-incriminating.
Yeah I thought the film was great and I think Sasha Baron Cohen is the most important comedian of his generation but I don't expect that because I like his comedy he is a nice person. I mean I love Bob Dylan's music but I am sure he is a right wanker.
