This has got to be bad news.
Miller proudly announced the title of his next Batman book, which he will write, draw and ink. Holy Terror, Batman! is no joke. And Miller doesn't hold back on the true purpose of the book, calling it "a piece of propaganda," where 'Batman kicks al Qaeda's ass."
The reason for this work, Miller said, was "an explosion from my gut reaction of what's happening now." He can't stand entertainers who lack the moxie of their '40s counterparts who stood up to Hitler. Holy Terror is "a reminder to people who seem to have forgotten who we're up against."
What is it with the cartoon thing at the moment? Is reality not fucked up enough for people?
Sit 'em all on your knees with comic books. Tell them you are good and they are bad. That'll work.

Do tell them that the 7/7 bombers are bad. Because it's true.
There is bad in every facet of war's reflection. From subway bombers, to overzealous reactionary cops who gun down the innocent on subway platforms.
There's bad throughout the entire spectrum.
Tell them that, as well, while you're at it. Because it is undeniably, and unbiasedly, true.
Thanks for chiming in, indigo.
Do tell them that cops killed one in a tragic overreaction, trying to prevent mass murder. Tell them that the 7/7 bombers killed 52 civilians unprovoked.
Tell them that people like indigo out there would draw more attention to the one accidental death than the 52 intentional ones.
Because it is undeniably, and unbiasedly, true.
cartoonising dehumanises. I'm always trying to understand rather than dehumanizing. Dehumanizing makes people think they are safe when they aren't. I'm not keen on artistic propaganda. I wouldn't make it illegal but I'm not keen on it.
It is a bean-counter mentality measures atrocities in numbers, and biasedly rationalizes and justifies an unprovoked murder as an acceptable act, and delusionally asserts its justification to be an unbiased truth.
Murder is murder, whichever side you are on.
Step back from where you've planted your flag, in order to see the big picture. All atrocities stink, and if you want numbers, look at Iraq.
Scrutinator, I can assure you your view would be different were the single victim your brother, son, or father.
It's a matter of perpective.
Do look at Iraq. Do step back from your flag.
Not a bean-counter mentality, but a sense of proportion.
If the single victim were a loved one I would be devastated. It is a matter of perspective, and yours is skewed.
In fact, my wife's cousin died on 9/11, and I resent you referring to her as a bean.
I made no reference, directly or indirectly, to "her". You have a penchant for distortion. That was cheap, manipulative and low.
You seem so entrenched in your mindset, and loyal to your propaganda, as to be blind to all outside your narrow field of vision.
Your flag reference is particularly telling and egregious. My loyalties are to my country and its principles, not to a cabal of scoundrels in power. You want to call THAT "the flag", go ahead. But that is despicably delusional, and the founding fathers warned of it. I defend The Constitution, from all enemies...foreign and domestic...and that includes you.
Why can't they leave cartoons alone. Its so dull and almost cruel to pervert something meant for children. I mean really, Batman, bugger off!
Accusations are cheap. Use liberally. (Sigh.)
Save your patronizing sighs, that was no accusation.
Sigh.
