Frenetic ramblings from the start of the "War on Terror" logging my attempts to film outside Finsbury park mosque over 3 years and sitting through all the subsequent court cases. These days I am usually on Post Factual Society on Facebuk. Do visit Youtube.com/malungtvnews

Missing blogs
I know I haven't blogged about this or this. I think this picture sums up my feelings on both issues.
Omar Khayam, eh? Hardly poetic justice. That was a very (un)funny joke there. I'm very sorry. It doesn't even really make any sense. I'll explain myself. Omar Khayyam, the other one, was a prolific persian whose Rubaiyat contains some of my favourite lines of poetry ever: The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ, Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line, Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
On a lighter note, my favourite slogan from the recent protests was "Behead those who say Islam is violent".
How can expressing your freedom be regarded as bad behaviour? Sorry for the fragmented ramble, I'm just buzzing... It's my birthday!!
What a tangled web we weave, but I've got to line up with the B of S on her b of day (happy birthday!).
Great quote!
When poetry bleeds its way back into the soul of mankind, after being leached and lapped up by politics and power grabs...maybe then this stuff will take a reasonably humane form.
Yeah I know. I've spoken to a few of them who have trained in Afghanistan yet take a very dim view of attacks against innocents here and in Spain.
Someone training to fight Russians in Chechenya would use the same things. Obviously the right wing media will draw one conclusion and I would like to draw the opposite, and someone who was intending attacks here would probably look the same as someone intending to defend Chechens.
It is totally possible that the 7/7 and 9/11 guys passed through Finsbury park mosque and for Hamza still to preach against terrorism in the west.
I don't doubt that what Rede Hassaine saw was people training for Jihad. It seems obvious that among these people were also terrorists.
All I am saying is that I saw Hamza and Abdullah preach against terrorism, though I agree some of the tapes were dubious.
Hamza and Abdullah seem to me sometimes to be suffering from a religious form of tarets syndrome where they wind themselves up further and further onto these rollercoaster sermons which I agree with 70% of then they go on about gays and Jews which spoil it all...
I ask them afterwards- do you mean all Jews? No. Zionists.
I can see that Islam and Zionism are at war, and I have friends who have been Israeli soldiers. What can I say? I just want peace.

Did Omar Khayam blow up?
If he were alive today, the odds might be against him.
I was wondering about this: what was seized at the Finsbury Park raid, and what that means.
