Iran on the agenda===================
The US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice tried to turn up the heat on Iran today over its nuclear programme, coming to the UK for talks with Tony Blair. She wants Iran brought before the UN - suspicious that Tehran is developing weapons rather than power stations. The Iranians said they would return to talks with the EU but rejected the key demand that it first stops the uranium enrichment which restarted in August. Ms Rice and the British foreign secretary Jack Straw also both warned Iran to stay out of the insurgency in Iraq. I caught up with Jack Straw earlier today to ask him why Iran shouldn't have nukes when Israel probably does and when we do.
