UNCLE Js MESSAGE
Haven't had much Uncle Jimbo for a while here he is with a message for Obama
Yeah I can see the Republican objectives based mindset. It does have to be as clear as Jimbo is making out. The thing which Republicans loose me on is the winning and loosing bit. That applies to a war, it rarely applies to an insurgency. Insurgencies are settled, like in Ireland.
Hmmmm... I don't get that logic, but I get the message, it's disturbing that he feels he even has to make it in the first place.
Oddly, he states that all wars are either won or lost - well, that does not work in the world of terror. Also the US as a nation is in it's adolescence and it's own history and independence was created by winning a war. Indeed, the war of Independence was simply not a war that was won or lost. An objective was reached, but not one that was actually planned. Then the US did the dirty on it's only ally and sign a trade deal with the UK. So these things are simply not cut and dry at all. Iraq's objective was simply never achieved and the world is more dangerous now than ever. But hey, I could be wrong, I might not see the world from the left side of the pond...

As far as Iraq I am not sure, don't know, never been. Afghanistan worries me a lot more after what happened to the Russians. I can totally see what Jimbo is saying here.
