When Four Lions came out it was pretty obvious that Nigel Lindsay had based his character on Atilla. He talks about it here -

Hey mate, looong time how are you? No new news about anyone really, just old news. Hamid's daughter has a facebook campaign to free him she is attracting support for, no news about Hamza at all since they smuggled a phone in and recorded a conversation with him then stuck it on youtube.

Yeah I did think that but they would have had to get my number from somewhere no? I suppose I did give it to some journalists at the time but that was 2003-2006
