FREE REPUBLICANS

If Mr. Hamza's trial had gone ahead this morning I would have been just south of Houndsditch about 9. Instead I've been watching the same sad pictures as everyone else. Looking on my sitemeter I can see that someone has sent a lot of Free Republicans my way with this:

Keep an eye on this TERRORIST LOVER'S blog.......

http://malung-tv-news.blogspot.com/

The only useful information I have for you at this time is to repeat what I heard Mr. Hamza say over and over again on the street in Finsbury park:

“ Any Imam who endorses these kinds of statements, (the MCB were calling for Muslims to inform on extremists) it is not lawful for you to pray behind him..if he can he should hit him with a shoe on his head…you can’t serve Islam because of a passport or a jar of honey given to you by Tony Blair. But Islamically also (and I am Islamic) it is immoral to target people who have no say in the war. In fact they were against the war in Iraq…If it was not for this Zionist media… the people of this country…would have informed themselves…so it is not fair to target them. It is not Islamic…We’ve got to distinguish between the evil politicians and the normal people who go about there business every day.”

I am sorry if anyone thinks that I love terrorists. I can't be certain, but I don't think I've ever met one. I actually love everyone. Since the US elections I have been using cyberspace to communicate with Republicans more than any other group.

Cheers for the traffic anyway. Be sure and scroll down to my coverage of the protest outside your embassy. All comments welcome.

war comes to london. i could so easily have been around aldgate or liverpool street or kings cross that time...

it's the perfect attack to stop london... always said, hit the underground, hit the main transport nerve centres...

didn't hit very hard though compared to Madrid and New york. strange.

If Hamza was still out, would it have happened???

I'm so glad you are OK!!!! I was worried when I heard this morning!!!

What people have got to understand is that their terror activity is not about this war. We weren't at war when they hit the towers or The Cole or our embassy. The don't care if you are for or against this war. You understand that right dave??? If they cared about who was for or against this war they wouldn't be bombing Arab children.
Anyway, glad you are alright.
Stay safe!

Also, they didn't hit hard because they are diminished.

Sorry for the multiple posts here.I keep forgetting to add something. I am out of town and don't have access to a computer too much. I just wanted to check on you. I'll try and check back here later. Sometimes I can't get through to my e-mail.

lovely to hear from you darling! I've got 60 hits from republicans cos they are calling me a "TERRORIST LOVER" over on free Republic!

God knows what is happening with the documentary. The pitch is in. I am at the trial every day. I wish you were here. Are you enjoying your holiday?

I dont agree that they didn't hit hard because they are dimminished. A bomb left on public transport is a bomb. They didn't hit hard deliberately. Its obvious. I can't imagine what is on their minds.

Thanks for reading. I hope to give Hamza's friends and family the opportunity to answer all of your questions. He may yet get the opportunity to answer them for himself in the Old Bailey.

What do I think Hamza is?

Barry Norman, the chief of Police in Finsbury park told me:

"The bit that I’ve found nonsensical is that the national media have puffed this person up to be something that he probably delighted in being."

Thats what I thought. He delighted in their media creation, but up close I had serious doubts from loads of clues in his behaviour and rhetoric.

I think a terrorist would be a lot smarter and a lot quieter. I don't think the attack was anything to do with his trial, I think it was about the G8.

I don't have symathy with those who terrorise with or without government backing anywhere in the world.

i'd like to hear the answers to all of those questions as well. dave is a peacemaker though, make no mistake.

Yes I did ask Abdullah about Muhammad marrying a nine year old. He told me that I would have to understand more about Islam before he would answer the question.

This was the only time I asked any of them difficult questions when they were finnaly chucked out of the mosque. Abdullah was quite upset with me, but I managed to explain my reasons and maintain his agreement to be part of a film.

Yes, I accept that i did not ask any of the guys the more difficult questions yet. I didn't have to as I filmed ALL the other journalists doing so over about a year. Made things a bit easy for me.

Yes it has occured to me that they could be using me. All I can say is, when you see film of them, YOU JUDGE whether they look in the SLIGHTEST BIT sinister, or even able to be so clever.

I may be totally wrong but I don't think those who stand on the street openly saying these things are the ones who are a danger, any more than those who protested about british rule in Ireland were the IRA.

If I've missed anything out of my answers do tell me.

DAVE BONES said...

do I honestly think they are telling me the truth about what they stand for?

I just want to point a camera at them saying what they are saying to give an audience a chance to judge for themselves.

They say a lot of things. Abdullah says Accept Islam as your salvation because when isa isalam comes there won't be no jisha. You either embrace Islam or die by the sword…

another time I can be talking to him about football. Hamza is the same. If I turned up in a suit once at Finsbury park and pushed a camera in these peoples faces, yes I would have thought they were a threat. Turning up week in week out I got a different story.

If they were using me I would have thought that they would have made it A FUCK OF A LOT easier for me to get the story they wanted put across, and I wouldn't still be trying to do this 2 years later!

Glad to know you're ok. When I saw the attacks, I thought of you immediately.

Here's my review of your blog, from the perspective of a conservative American who disagrees with most of what you believe.

Dave and Scruty and others, just been catching up on your civilised political debate... I've been jumping computers recently too much to really contribute to blog-world... Keep the interaction going, for our entertainment if nothing else...

Ms Sparkle: "What people have got to understand is that their terror activity is not about this war. We weren't at war when they hit the towers or The Cole or our embassy."

I respectfully disagree. The war has been going on for decades; sometimes overtly, sometimes covertly; sometimes directly, sometimes through proxies.

I am categorically not a leftist; anarcho-fascist may be a closer description. I am also very fond of semi-colons.

But no sane person can not connect the activities of Britain and then the US in the Middle East throughout the 20th century to the present situation. Need I remind you the Brits gassed the Kurds decades before Saddam ever did... Need I remind you of the vast list of Western-installed dictators and despots who have ensured the oil keeps flowing our way... If you have a hard time finding historical references, ask me and I'll dig some up for you...

Any empire is always in a state of war... And diplomacy is war carried on by other means...
